Urgent Appointments
Our urgent appointments are available to book on the day at 8:30am. If we have no appointments, you will be directed to alternate services.
Not all problems will require an appointment with a GP, all our reception team are trained to signpost patients to the most suitable service for the problem.
To request an urgent on the day appointment you can:
- phone us on 0161 205 4364
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
Routine Appointments
Appointments Notice
From 30.06.25, most routine GP telephone appointments will be bookable through the NHS App at 1pm and 5pm, Monday to Friday. A small number will still be available by phone at 1pm for patients who can’t use the App. This helps our admin team focus on urgent care during busy times. Please make sure your NHS App is working. If you need help setting it up, contact reception after 2pm any day and we can arrange for you to come to the practice with your device

Our routine appointments are available to book every day at 1pm.
To request a routine appointment with a GP/ clinician you can:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) – at 5pm
- phone us on 0161 205 4364 – at 1pm
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist – at 1pm
These appointments are 1-4 weeks in advance.
Cancel Appointments
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone us on 0161 205 4364 during opening times
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- use our cancel an appointment form
Nurse Appointments
We will aim respond to requests within 2 working days during opening times.
You can also:
- phone us on 0161 205 4364
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist
Interpreter Services
Interpreter services are available for most languages but do need a longer appointment. You must let the reception staff know at the point of booking if you need an interpreter. If we do not know you need an interpreter, the clinician may ask you to rearrange the appointment.
Home Visits
Home visits are undertaken by a GP and are after morning surgery at 12pm.
If you need a home visit for an annual review, our nursing team will be in contact to book this in.
The following guidelines and examples are approved by many local medical committees around the country.
Extended Access Appointments
At the surgery we get an allocation of extended hours appointments.
We can offer GP, ANP, Phlebotomy and Nurse.
These are at New Collegiate Medical Centre or Crumpsall Medical Practice.
To arrange an extended hours appointment you can;
- call 0161 205 4364
- attend the reception
One of our care navigators will inform you of our availability.
Contraception Clinic
We run contraception Clinics on a Wednesday and Friday afternoons with Dr S Shahbaz.
You do not need to be a patient at the practice to book one of these appointments.
Please complete a form and our team will book a telephone appointment for you. After this you will be put on the waiting list.
Sexual Health Clinic
We run a Sexual Health Clinic with Dr S Shahbaz.
Please complete the form below and we will contact you with an appointment.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
111 has a mental health crisis team.

- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
