The Collegiate Medical Centre is committed to becoming an organisation, which is pro-diversity and anti-discriminatory. Where everyone’s diversity is valued and appreciated and in recognising that everyone is different, valuing the unique contribution that individual experience, knowledge and skills can make in delivering service goals. This diversity should be visible at all levels of the organisation. Collegiate Medical Centre wants to develop services that open, culturally aware equally accessible to all sections of the community. This is what the new NHS should look like, the Government has made this explicit in the NHS Plan, the Improving Working Lives standard and the equalities framework for the NHS, ‘Vital Connections’ of which there are three main aims:
- To recruit, develop and retain a workforce that is able to deliver high quality services that are accessible, responsive and appropriate, to meet the diverse needs of different groups and individuals
- To ensure that the NHS is a fair employer achieving equality of opportunity and outcomes in the workplace
